AKAL is a marketplace for agricultural investments that are already underway: land that has been reclaimed, planted, irrigated or operated, and whose holder wants or needs to pass it on.
It is not a classifieds site. Every opportunity is described in the same structure, read by the AKAL team before publication, and labelled with how far its information has been checked, so that a serious buyer can understand it before making contact.
Don't just list farms. Make opportunities understandable.
Why AKAL exists
Continuity
An agricultural investment is rarely just a plot of land. It can represent years of work and capital: wells drilled, trees planted, a team trained.
One person may have started that investment; another may continue it. AKAL exists so that the handover can happen with clear information, and so that what was built is not lost along the way.

Where we work
AKAL starts in Egypt, where many agricultural investments are underway on reclaimed and established land alike. Over time we hope to serve the wider Middle East and North Africa.
The name
AKAL is an Amazigh-rooted word associated with earth, land and soil. We chose it because agricultural investment begins with the land and depends on it.
Status
AKAL is in beta: free for buyers and sellers, with interim terms under legal review. The company that will operate AKAL is being registered; its legal name and registration details will be published here once registration is complete.
